About IRFCID

Filed in December 2009 as a 501(c) (3) non-profit service organization, under IRS’s group exemption code, the Foundation acts as a catalyst in creating discoveries, developing relationships, instigating research, and building rigorous scientific and new treatment exploration that results in shared knowledge, improved patient care and healthful living.

The foundation’s founders: S. Edward Bradford, ND, PA, and C. Richard Kinsolving, Ph.D., have a combined 75 years of medical industry experience including 40 years of combined experience in treating cancer and immune related diseases.

Governed by a Board of Directors - and supported by a growing Medical Advisory Committee comprised of some of the world's leading clinicians, as well as grassroots volunteers and a compassionate, professional staff - IRFCID is here to provide individuals and their families with vital knowledge and to make tremendous strides in:

• Promoting, and funding research that help characterize cancer and immune diseases to give patients and physicians substantially improved treatment options;
• Helping the patient and medical community gain a broader understanding of cancers and immune diseases through education and outreach efforts;

Our Focus

The most common cause of all diseases in the world today is autoimmune diseases. In autoimmune disease our own protective forces (immune system) starts to attack our body. The name of the disease depends upon the location of the organ under attack. Today cancer, diabetes, strokes, lupus, crohns and many other diseases are all caused by the immune system.

Autoimmune diseases are currently ranked as the third largest disease category in the US behind heart disease and cancer.  With more than 25 million people affected by cancer globally, and an estimated 5 million plus people dying each year as a result of cancer and other autoimmune diseases, new treatments are clearly needed to curtail these high mortality statistics despite the availability of some effective drugs.

Our Mission

IRFCID is dedicated to providing funding for medical research, patient resources and supporting new treatments, clinical trials, support groups, educational materials and information that is geared toward finding how the immune system can be harnessed to treat and control cancer and to cure other diseases and disorders that attack the immune system.

Our Vision

IRFCID’s vision is evolving and succeeding at investigating core questions about healing the body’s immune system. The Foundation is developing public and private partnerships with medical facilities, universities, organizations, corporations and research institutions nationally and internationally. IRFCID’s vision is to become a primary organization for supporting research and treatment, through complementary and alternative medicine, of cancer and other immune diseases. The Foundation's founders envision helping to facilitate a model of patient care that brings together alternative healing traditions and modern medicine (integrative medicine) through rigorous scientific research.
